Dance Troupe Class Attire

Part of being an accomplished dancer is learning to be well groomed. At competition and exams, part of your mark is on grooming and appearance. When you come to class, please make sure that your hair and clothes are suited to that class’ dress code (see below). Also, prior to class, remove all watches, rings, necklaces, etc. It is not acceptable for dancers to be styling their hair once they are in the classroom.

Class Attire - Girls

Jazz, Tap, Spins & Leaps and Musical Theatre	black fitted lycra tank top or tank leotard and dance shorts with black capri tights or black capri leggings *Absolutesly NO tee shirts are to be worn when in class	Jazz & Musical Theatre - black split sole jazz shoes, preferably Bloch SO495 Tap* - black leather Mary-Janes, Bloch SO302	off the neck in a secure ponytail, bun or braid - no side bangs!
Lyrical	fitted lycra tank top or leotard & dance shorts with tights	tan leather split sole jazz shoes preferably Bloch SO495 (for performances	off the neck in a secure ponytail, bun or braid - no side bangs!
Conditioning	tank top or tee shirt with shorts	bare feet or jazz shoes	off the neck in a secure ponytail, bun or braid - no side bangs!
Hip Hop	comfortable athletic wear, no jeans or street clothes	white soled, non-marking runners dedicated for use only at the studio or hip hop runners	off the neck in a secure ponytail, bun or braid - no side bangs!

*Please note that jazz shoes from Wal-Mart are not acceptable for competitive classes, as they are not leather and do not allow for proper use of feet.
