TAP Classes

Tap is an exciting form of dance in which dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps. Tap dancers use their feet like instruments to create rhythmic patterns and precise beats. Set to a variety of music including oldies, show tunes, and modern pop, your child will obtain confidence, coordination, and an appreciation for this classic and well-loved dance form.

This non-competitive program will cover a range of program elements including musicality, foot & ankle strength, coordination, performance quality, and precision. Dancers will be introduced to each element and then guided through the process of learning a full combination to be performed in a Recital at the end of the season!

All recreational students will be awarded a performance opportunity at the end of the season! Dancers will be provided with a professional costume to wear for their performances and photography sessions.

We love seeing our dancers explore a variety of styles and want to make that as accessible as possible. That’s why we’ve created a tiered tuition system with built-in discounts for students enrolled in two or more Recreational Classes. Tuition is calculated by total class hours per week, with savings automatically applied as you add more classes!
